Second staff meeting in Dortmund
This week we had a very useful and productive second staff meeting in Dortmund, to discuss in details about the Community Empowerment Actions. Our goal is to facilitate access to housing and employment services for Roma people, creating a community of beneficiaries and stakeholders through a common training in Dortmund, Genoa, Turin and Budapest.
In order to expand our framework, we involved local institutional and private stakeholders, to help us in defining more tailored context analysis and future strategies of intervention. A very interesting approach devoleped in collaboration with a representative from Dortmund Municipality, the responsible in charge of Housing Department in Grünbau and two social workers.
The project involves GrünBau, Liberitutti, City of Budapest 9th district, ARCI Liguria, University of Padova as partners from Italy, Hungary and Germany.
HERO project aims to promote the integration of Roma minorities, contrasting anti-Gypsyism and discrimination in access to housing and employment, developing actions and policies against stereotypes and mistrust within the communities.
